District XI Quality Improvement Project

ACOG’s District XI was selected through a Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grant funded to ACOG to participate in a project to help practices increase their immunization rates and build partnerships with the state health department’s immunization program.

This project built on the success of a similar grant-funded project in District V (Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan). View the report.

The three-year project, which concluded August 2015, was a collaboration with ACOG District XI (Texas) to complete quality improvement projects in 15 ob-gyn practices to increase adult immunization rates.

All selected sites received free onsite training, education materials, and on-going assistance for specific vaccine-related issues from ACOG and the Texas Department of State Health Services.
